Housing Credit Modernization Legislation Comparison Chart

Coalition legal counsel Richard S. Goldstein, Nixon Peabody LLP, has prepared the below-linked side-by-side comparison of both Housing Credit modernization bills (H.R. 5720 and S. 2666).
As previously reported by the Coalition, both bills are currently working their way through Congress. Senate bill S. 2666, The AffordableHousing Investment Act of 2008, was introduced on February 25, 2008 by Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Gordon Smith (R-OR). The House companion bill, H.R. 5720, The Affordable Housing Tax Act of 2008, was introduced by House Ways and Means Committee Chair Charles B. Rangel (D-NY) and passed through Committee on April 9, 2008.
